Massachusetts

It should be no surprise that Massachusetts is one of the top biotechnology clusters in the nation and the world. With some of the world's top universities, Massachusetts has naturally excelled in the field. In addition to these advantages, the state signed a 1 billion dollar biotechnology incentive plan in June of 2008 that should further boost Massachusetts position as a leader. The package contains heavy investments in stem cell research, a research center, training, and many other benefits. This has attracted more companies to the area and makes the State a real force in America's biotechnology landscape.
